More warehouse space for low-cost steel sheets
SteelProfil announced the expansion of its Dzierżenin branch near Serock in November 2016. The investment aimed to provide more warehouse space for sandwich panels, PIR and XPS insulation boards, and trapezoidal steel sheets, while improving loading and customer service. The announcement described more than 60,000 m² of steel sheets and sandwich panels available from the yard and a new storage area due to open the following week. Serving Mazovia and central Poland, the expanded branch formed part of SteelProfil’s longer-term plans to strengthen its logistics network and make building materials easier to collect directly from stock.
The announcement promoted first- and second-grade sheets at low prices, alongside SteelProfil’s lowest-priced sandwich panels and PIR boards.
The expansion marked another stage in the development of the company’s logistics facilities. Dzierżenin played an important role in serving customers from Mazovia and central Poland, and the investment responded to growing demand for building materials available without a long wait.
Why expand the Serock / Dzierżenin branch?
Dzierżenin was one of SteelProfil’s busiest locations. High stock turnover, customer numbers and its position near Warsaw meant the existing facilities needed to grow. More warehouse space was intended to improve logistics and shorten order lead times.
What was the investment intended to change?
The planned expansion provided more storage space for sandwich panels, PIR and XPS boards, and trapezoidal steel sheets.
