At a glance
T18 trapezoidal steel sheets can be an economical roofing option when the particular product suits the roof design. The price comparison should include the specification, quantity, delivery and required accessories. A separate way to reduce expenditure is to select suitable pieces from a mixed second-grade sheet batch. That MIX offer must not be mistaken for a uniform batch of T18: it can contain different profiles, widths and finishes. This article explains the distinction and the selection process without treating a promotional claim of the lowest price as an independently verified market comparison.
Why consider T18?
Price, the required roof covering and the delivery timetable all influence the decision. The article promoted T18 as a cost-conscious choice with quick production and no extra express-order charge. Confirm the current quotation and lead time for your order; those promotional terms are not a standing guarantee for every product or quantity.
For the broader choice of covering, see the comparison of tile-effect roofing sheets and trapezoidal sheets.
A separate offer: second-grade MIX for self-selection
The mixed second-grade sheet offer is intended for customers who can choose suitable individual pieces. Its contents and limitations differ from a standard first-grade T18 order.

What is included in the mixed batch?
- Different profiles and widths: the assortment can include trapezoidal, tile-effect and standing-seam profiles, rather than one consistent sheet type.
- Quantity selected for the job: choose the usable pieces needed for your project instead of assuming a complete matching batch.
- Price by area: compare the quoted price per square metre. This article does not give a current numerical price.
- Short lengths: the described offcuts were 500–1,000 mm long. That does not mean any requested length is available.
- Variable supply: ask what is currently in the yard before planning collection.
- Different finishes: the assortment may include galvanised sheets, graphite, brown and other colours. Galvanising describes a protective finish, not a colour designation.
Self-selection allows you to inspect pieces from production starts and ends. Short offcuts can be useful for suitable small coverings or partitions, but they are not equivalent to new first-grade sheets of a specified profile and length.
Second-grade sheets may reduce the cost of temporary or permanent fencing, canopies for stored materials, sheds, site cabins and garages. Used sheets can sometimes serve similar purposes. In each case, assess the actual condition, dimensions and suitability for the proposed structure. Previous holes, damage or mismatched profiles can affect the result.
Low price alone does not establish weather resistance, load capacity or suitability for a roof. Select the material for the project rather than extending the list of possible uses into a guarantee that every piece will work everywhere.
Choosing and collecting the material
SteelProfil’s offer combines made-to-order materials with lower-cost batches for customers able to select their own pieces. Discuss the necessary lengths, profile, finish and intended application before comparing the total cost.
The original article was published on 16 January 2023 and mentioned yards serving Serock, Błonie, Łódź and Olsztyn. This is the geographical scope listed in that article, not a complete statement of the current branch network. Confirm the collection point and available batch before travelling. For a standard T18 order, request the specification and quotation separately from the second-grade MIX offer.
